Tupperware Forget
i made a mess in the oven?
i ACCIDENTLY LEFT TUPPERWARE IN MY OVEN(JUST TO HAVE SPACE ON MY COUNTER WHILE I COOKED) THEN TOTALLY FORGETTING IT WAS IN THE OVEN, I TURNED THE OVEN ON. NOW I HAVE BURNT AND MELTED PLASTIC ON THE RACKS AND BOTTOM OF THE OVEN. ANY SUGGESTIONS HOW TO CLEAN IT??
I would get something like a plastic scraper and try to scrape off the plastic. I would take the racks outside and spray oven cleaner on the plastic and see if it does anything to soften it. Other than oven cleaner, heating the plastic, or making it brittle with dry ice I can’t think of a way you can remove it.
You could probably use the thick paint remover to get the plastic off of the racks.
If the oven is self cleaning and you have all the plastic out except maybe a thin film or residue on the bottom the self clean would burn up the plastic. I am sure it would stink but just open up all the windows in the house while you are doing it. Your best bet is to try and remove the plastic manually first.
